The full schedule for Montreux Jazz Festival has been announced. We will be performing at the ‘Music in the Park’ stage at 4pm on 12th July and at 3pm on 13th July. Hopefully there will be a good crowd and maybe even some familiar faces there? For more details, see the band’s bio on the festival website.
Don’t forget, it is now just 2 days until our next concert at The Bridge on campus. Doors will be open from 7.30pm and Penquin will be performing from 8pm before SUJO’s set at 9pm. This should be a great gig as for some of the band it may be their last before graduating. Make sure you will be there and have a look at the facebook event for more details.
Today’s recording is Duke Ellington’s “Second Line”. Harking back to New Orleans this track is packed with feel you can almost taste, especially in James Barros’ clarinet solos! Make sure you come back next week for more and, if you can’t wait that long, check out our recordings page.
Between now and our appearance at Montreux Jazz Festival, we will be posting adding one video a week to our recording’s page so make sure you come back and check what new stuff we have in store for you. This week’s is Duke Ellington’s “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore” with guest vocalist Francesca Lewis. If you wan’t to hear more of our recordings, check out our dedicated page. Whatever you do, make sure you are back next week for more of our live recordings.
Last night we held our MD auditions which were closely contested by two of the current members of the band.
However, there can only be one MD and that is Joshua Wakeham!
We look forward to working with him over the coming year and the new directions he will take the band.
We are going to be auditioning for next year’s MD on Tuesday.

Have you taken a look at our new gallery yet? It could be bigger and better but for that, we need your help. If you have any photos of us doing anything as a band, go to the contact us page and we will tell you how to email it to us (sorry – we don’t want to publish our address here because of Spam-bots).
Our web presence has been a bit stunted for a while but we are back, we are better and we will be aiming to keep this site regularly updated!
